By Abubakar Sadiq Isah

The Gomo of Kuje, Alhaji Tanko Jibrin, has said he and his subjects have embraced change spearheaded by President Muhammadu Buhari, and so they will support the All Progressives Congress (APC’s) chairmanship candidate of the council, Alhaji Abdullahi D. Galadima, in the April, 9 poll.

Speaking when the party’s chairmanship candidate led his campaign team to his palace to seek for his blessing on Wednesday, the chief said the candidate was blessed and urged him not to fail the people.

Represented by the (Dakacin Kuje), Alhaji Suleiman Bature, the traditional ruler, noted that it was their resolved to support him because the FCT minister, Muhammad Bello, had earlier visited the palace to seek for support for the APC candidate.

“I want to assure you that since this palace has given you the blessing and the full support for your aspiration to lead the people of Kuje.

“When the FCT minister visited this palace we assured him that we will embrace the APC change,” he said.

Earlier, Galadima said his desire to govern the area council was to provide social amenities to the people, “what the PDP led administration of the council has failed to do.”

He said it has become necessary for him to lead his campaign team to seek for blessing of the chief so that whatever he is pursuing would be for the best interest of the entire people of the council.

“I want to assure that we will never downgrade this palace or put it to shame, as we are going to put in our best as young and agile youths. We are going to make a difference by the grace God, if given the mandate,” he said.
