We were pressured to join EndSARS protest – Buhari Support Group

The Buhari Volunteer Movement (BVM), Jigawa State chapter on Tuesday, revealed that they came under overwhelming pressure from different quarters to join in the EndSARS protest, but resisted the pressure.

Addressing a press conference in Dutse, the state capital yesterday, the coordinator of the movement in the state, Comrade Musa Gambo Guri, said they want the law to take its course by bringing to justice culprits in the ongoing looting of COVID-19 palliatives in some parts of the country to serve as a deterrent to others.

He noted that while the group was not against the peaceful and lawful protest as enshrined in the country’s constitution, it was also unconstitutional for any group to stage a violent protest under any disguise and turn it into an act of brigandage.
