We slaughtered our cousin because of destiny – Suspect

Farouq Halidu, one of the suspects who allegedly conspired with his brother, Aliyu, to kill their cousin, Idris Hamah, to steal his motorcycle has attributed their action to destiny.

He said, “It was kadara (destiny) that made us kill him. We beat him with a stick until he died. I am 21 years old, a farmer and married with children. I will not be happy if someone kills my children. I regret our action,” he told City & Crime.

The duo were arraigned on Tuesday by the Kwara State Police Command at the revenue court in Ilorin over alleged criminal conspiracy, culpable homicide and armed robbery.
