We need more infrastructures in our tourist centers – Mabera

Bala Mohammad Mabera, the Director General, Waziri Junaidu History and Culture bereau Sokoto, has called on the Sokoto state government to pay more attention to the infrastructural development of the various tourist centers in the state.

Mabera made this known during the maiden edition of the Economic and Entertainment roundtable held in Lagos last Thursday.

“We don’t have much infrastructure especially in other local governments, we are appealing to the state government to come to our aid by building more infrastructures in our tourist centers, this also includes the digitization of our structures”

He also called on all and sundry to visit the various tourist attractions and centers in the state.

“Sokoto is one of the historic tourist centers in the North and Nigeria at large.

“I’m calling on all and sundry to visit the state to explore the various tourist attractions and historical places, to appreciate the beauty of nature.”

Mabera said people come from different parts of the world to explore the tourist centers in the state.

“We receive people from different parts on a daily basis in the state, some come from America, Arab countries d other neighbouring countries”

On the need to earn more revenue for the state, Mabera also appealed to both public and private enterprises to invest in the history and culture bureau of the state.

The history and culture bureau is the largest Arabic bureau in Nigeria and one of the most important data banks and research centers in Nigeria.
