The Young Progressives Party (YPP) in Cross River State has said the party will seize power from the current political bandits in the 2023 general elections.
The party, at the weekend in the state, embarked on public sensitisation and encouragement of young people to get registered and to collect their PVCs to enable them vote in next year’s general elections.

The YPP members and leaders were at Bewo town near Abuochiche, the Bekwara LGA headquarters, and Gakem, the town where the first gunshot that signalled the beginning of the Nigerian civil war was fired.
State Chairman of the party, Anthony Bissong Attah, said, “The objective of this event is to sensitise our people on why they must register to get the new weapon, PVC, that will enable them take back our country from the hands of the current political bandits that have held our country down for too long.”
The party’s candidate for Bekwara State Constituency, Fredrick Maximum, said, “We use this event to call on the people to shun vote buying, cultism and other social vices, as well as vote against all those that have put you in your current situation.”
