The Speaker House of Representatives has said that no efforts should be spared by the governments at all levels and the private sector in supporting policies that promote the rights of the Nigerian child, including their inalienable right to good education and other rights.
He said this in a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Lanre Lasisi, Friday to commemorate this year’s Children’s Day celebration.
Gbajabiamila said children were worth celebrating for their visible determination to succeed against all odds, as exemplified by the many feats they have accomplished since the last celebration.
The Speaker, however, emphasised the need for concerted efforts to assist Nigerian children in harnessing their potential and fulfilling their dreams.
