Amina Zakari, the INEC Commissioner in charge of Election Operations and Logistics, has assured that the commission will prove skeptics wrong during the Ekiti State governorship election.
Speaking against the backdrop of alleged connivance to rig the election in favour of the APC, she said “We (INEC) have nothing to hide. I see no reason why INEC would want to go back to bad old days. We are moving forward as we remain focused to ensure a credible election that Nigeria will be proud of.”
Pundits believe Ekiti election will largely determine the confidence of Nigerians in INEC as it prepares to conduct 2019 general elections.
