The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) said yesterday that the latest report showed that the PDP presidential candidate was just granted a temporary waiver to enter the United States of America. The party said  his trip was part of desperation to deceive Nigerians.

The APC National Publicity Secretary, Malam Lanre Issa-Onilu, in a phone interview, said the ruling party knew that the US would never compromise its democratic principles of democracy, rule of law and social justice.

Asked about the APC reaction to the report, Issa-Onilu said, “It just shows that we never had any doubt that Atiku is a wanted person in America. So, the visit we knew all along that it was part of desperation to pull the wool over the eyes of Nigerians. So, we were not bothered.

“And we know that  America is not about to compromise its objective principles of democracy, rule of law, and social justice. Atiku’s days are numbered. He will have his days in court whether in America, Europe or Nigeria.”
