The Vice Chancellor of the Kogi State-owned Prince Abubakar Audu University (PAAU), Anyigba, Professor Marietu Ohunene Tenuche, has said the institution has deployed adequate facilities that will propel students to greater heights and compete favourably with their peers in other universities.

The VC disclosed this to Daily Trust in an interview in Anyigba.

She said the facilities on ground to aid learning and research were in tune with modernity, adding that they were put in place by the efforts and support of Governor Yahaya Bello and the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund)

She said, “The facilities in place include a library equipped with books and resources that are adequate in terms of number and currency.

“We have provided more solar lights; 40 of which were facilitated by the Federal Ministry of Works and Housing, and 100 from TETFund.

The VC, while lamenting the damaging effects of COVID-19 and incidences of insecurity in parts of the country, said, “We are particularly thankful to Alhaji Yahaya Bello, Governor of Kogi State, for his dexterous and results-yielding handling of the security situation in the state.”
