We have delivered on our promises – Buhari

* promises to construct rail line in Ondo state

President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday said his administration has delivered on its promises made post 2015 election.

He also solicited for massive vote for his re-election bid saying his government has succeeded largely in the area of economy and the fight against corruption.

Buhari spoke in Akure, Ondo state during the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential rally in the state.

The President, who is the APC presidential candidate come February 16 election, said the fight against Boko Haram in the Northeast has been successful in the last three and half years.

According to him, the sect no longer control any local government areas adding that he will ensure the total defeat of the sect.

Buhari further maintained that his government when elected again will further go after those who have looted the country in bid to recover all looted funds from government’s coffer.

He urged people of the state to vote for all APC candidates in the February 16th election.

Also speaking, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo attacked the Presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Atiku Abubakar over his alleged plans to sell NNPC to his friends.

Osinbajo disclosed that the Buhari-led government has been able to create jobs for 500,000 graduates through N-power programme, urging voters in the state to support APC to the next level for more dividend of democracy.

He added that the APC government is set to construct rail lines that would pass through the state capital, which he mentioned would improve the economy of the state and generate more employment opportunity.

The National Chairman of the party, Adams Oshiomhole advised people to reject the PDP and its presidential candidate, saying they are only coming to share the country’s resources among themselves.

Also speaking, the National Leader of the APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu described the opposition party as “Master rigger” in elections, urging residents of the state to vote for the APC and stand by their votes.

Tinubu described President Buhari as a dependable and reliable leader, who his administration has created an enabling environment for businesses to thrive.

In his remark, Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State assured that the state would deliver massive votes for the APC in the coming elections.
