The result of the ongoing gubernatorial election in Osun State will be very credible, a People Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain has predicted.
Hon. Oluwole Oke, a former House of Representatives member told Daily Trust in Esa-Oke that he was satisfied with the conduct of the election.
“I expect a very credible result,” he said when asked what he expected at the end of the poll.Hon. Oke continued: “This exercise, so far so good, has been excellent. I want to commend INEC for a job well done.”The materials and personnel got to the various polling units at the right time. The accreditation took place at the right time and it took place under a very peaceful atmosphere.”
He said the security agents deployed to polling centers were at their best, ensuring a hitch free exercise.
“The Police here are not with arms and they are not anywhere close to the polling booths.”
The PDP chieftain said he has not been informed of any lapses so far in the election.
