The China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation (CCECC) has revealed that the company has launched businesses in 29 states since it started operating in Nigeria 40 years ago.
Speaking at the launch of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility Report (1981-2020), the Chairman and Managing Director of CCECC Nigeria Limited, Jiang Yigao, said the company entered the Nigerian market in 1981 as its first overseas market.
“We help Nigeria create high-quality infrastructure projects and provide quality services to local areas, and continue to deepen China-Nigeria cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiation,” he said.
The Deputy Managing Director of the company, Mr. Han Shuang, said Nigeria has proven to be “a truly reliable partner” and CCECC is willing to support the prosperity and development of Nigeria.
Shuang said the company employs and trains thousands of local staff in line with its principle of localised development.
“We will continue to remain a true friend and good partner of Nigeria and contribute to the sustainable economic and social development of Nigeria,” he said.
