We are not in alliance with Sowore’s AAC – PRP

The Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) has distanced itself from a purported alliance with the African Action Congress (AAC).

At an event in Kano last week, AAC and a faction of the PRP signed a memorandum of understanding to form an alliance and announced Omoyele Sowore as their adopted presidential candidate.

But a statement by Comrade Muhammed Ishaq, Acting Assistant National Publicity Secretary of the PRP, yesterday, dismissed the purported alliance.

Ishaq reiterated that the PRP has not entered into an alliance with any candidate or any other political party, including the AAC.

“Thus, we describe the purported mass mobilisation congress that the AAC claimed to have held in collaboration with our party as a tragic and irresponsible comedy that deserves no attention from right-thinking citizens,” the statement said.
