The leadership of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide has said it is in support of the move to impeach President Muhammadu Buhari.

The group drew its reasons on the rising cases of insecurities, ravaging the nation.

The Apex socio-cultural group said kidnaping, and killing of Nigerians, including security operatives, pose a great threat to the survival of the nation.

The Secretary-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro, made this known in a statement issued on Tuesday morning.

Isiguzoro, however applauded the members of the opposition party of the national Assembly for taken such a bold steps.

Although, lsiguzoro who said that Ndigbo also perceived the impeachment notice as a wake-up call for President Buhari, advised that the move should continue if Mr. President refuses to turn a new leave.

“Ndigbo is in support of any Impeachment threats by the National Assembly which we perceive serve as a wake-up call for the President and Vice President to be active with their duties simple because of the raising cases of kidnaping and killings including security operatives by Boko Haram and ISWAP.

“Today we have closed schools in Abuja for fear of attack by these terrorists group, so we cannot claim that every thing is alright when we are witnessing killings of Nigerians on daily basis including security operatives.

“So, if they President Buhari and the vice President Osibanjo continue to be onlookers and things continue going awry, the National Assembly should not exonerate the Vice President on the notice of impeachment.”
