Despite the existing travel restrictions imposed by the British government, Super Eagles’ Technical Adviser, Gernot Rohr has included players in the English Premier League in the list of 30 players invited for the 2022 World Cup qualifiers against Liberia and Cape Verde in September.

Williams Troost-Ekong, Oghenekaro Etebo, Wilfred Ndidi, Frank Onyeka, Alex Iwobi and Kelechi Iheanacho who are plying their trade in the English topflight have been listed.

Rohr also recalled South Africa-based goalkeeper Daniel Akpeyi, defenders Kenneth Omeruo and Kevin Akpoguma, Joseph Ayodele-Aribo and Greece-based forward Henry Onyekuru who is among the seven players on standby.

The list has goalkeepers Maduka Okoye and Francis Uzoho, defenders Abdullahi Shehu, Chidozie Awaziem, Kenneth Omeruo, Leon Balogun,  Olaoluwa Aina, Jamilu Collins, Zaidu Sanusi and Kevin Akpoguma.

Captain Ahmed Musa, Samuel Kalu, Victor Osimhen, Moses Simon and Paul Onuachu complete the list of attackers invited.

Players are standby are Terem Moffi, Henry Onyekuru, Chidera Ejuke, Innocent Bonke, Valentine Ozornwafor, Tyronne Ebuehi and Kingsley Michael.

The Super Eagles will host the Lone Star of Liberia at the Teslim Balogun Stadium in Lagos on September 3 and then travel to the island of Mindelo to tango with the Blue Sharks of Cape Verde on September 7.

Central African Republic is the other team in the group, and they will line up for home-and-away encounters with the Super Eagles in October.
