Legendary Nollywood actor, Chief Pete Edochie, is grateful to God that his mental faculties are still intact as he clocks 75.

The veteran actor who turned 75 on Monday, March 7, 2022, stated that he is grateful for his life and being able to witness his new age.

Sharing a video on his official Instagram page and speaking on his new age, he said, “How does it feel being 75, you know I’ve heard a lot of people say that age is just a number. Anybody who says that should subject himself to psychiatric evaluation because as you age you feel it within yourself but you try as much as possible not to allow it weigh you down.”

Chief Edochie came into prominence in the 1980s when he played the lead role of Okonkwo in an NTA adaptation of Chinua Achebe’s all-time best selling novel, Things Fall Apart.

In 2003, he was honoured as a Member of the Order of the Niger by President Olusegun Obasanjo.

The veteran actor has starred in more than 50 movies.
