Stakeholders from Wase Emirate and kingmakers of Bashar Chiefdom have expressed unequivocal support for His Royal Highness Alhaji Abdullahi Idris as the Rekna of Bashar, dismissing any doubts about his selection.
Dr Zakari Muhammed, spokesperson for the stakeholders, led a press conference in Jos where he affirmed the legitimacy of Idris’ ascension amid ongoing opposition.
The vote of confidence follows a petition by an opposition group to the Plateau State government and the committee on creation/upgrade of chiefdoms, districts, and village areas, seeking a review of the selection process.
