A retired Supreme Court judge, Justice Bolarinwa Oyegoke Babalakin, who died in the early hours of Saturday, has been buried.

He was buried in accordance with Islamic rites at his Gbongan country home in Osun State.

The late judge died at the aged 94. He was the father of billionaire lawyer and businessman, Dr Wale Babalakin.

Residents of Gbongan and Muslims in the state joined Babalakin family for the burial rites and special prayers.

Mourners and sympathisers from within and outside the state thronged the residence of the deceased where prayers were held.

The President of Osun State Muslim Community, Alhaji Mustafa Olawuyi, said the deceased was a good Muslim who served Allah well during his lifetime.

He said he would be remembered for his contributions to humanity.

Olawuyi prayed Allah to grant the Babalakin family and the entire Muslims in the state the strength to bear the loss.
