Wakil assumes duty in power ministry

A statement issued by the Ministry of Power Deputy Director, Press Mr Timothy Oyedeji, stated that the group which is a major player in the power sector paid a courtesy visit to the minister of state to intimate him of an agreement reached with the GE Chief Executive Officer Jeffrey Immett earlier in January.
The group which also had indigenous counterparts including Lazarus Angbazo, as its Nigerian Chief Executive Officer and Thomas Kenditi, of GE Africa, said the other issue discussed with Wakil was the Exxon – Mobil development plan to build a 534 MW Gas fired thermal power plant project at Qua Iboe Terminal in Eket, Akwa Ibom State, where GE is a technical partner.
