The federal government-supported Victims Support Fund (VSF) yesterday donated N30 million to two health facilities handling victims of crises, especially insurgency in Plateau State.
VSF donated N20million to the Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH) and N10million to the Plateau Specialist Hospital during a visit of the group led by its Executive Director, Professor Sunday Ochoche.
The fund, which is headed by retired General Theophilus Danjuma, had earlier travelled to Borno, Yobe, Yola, Gombe States and Nyanya in the FCT where it made similar donations to assist health facilities caring for victims of insurgency.
Presenting the cheques, Prof. Ochoche said the donations were as a result of the funds raised by the group. The Chief Medical Directors at JUTH and PLASH, Dr. Edmond Banwat and Dr. Joseph Golwa thanked the him for the gesture and promised to use it judiciously.
