Vice President Kashim Shettima and Governor Babagana Umara Zulum of Borno State have enjoined Nigerians to embrace peace.
In an interview with newsmen, Shettima called on Muslims faithful to imbibe the teachings of Ramadan and remain peaceful.
Governor Zulum also called on people in Borno to be law-abiding and intensify prayer for peace.
He also emphasised the need for citizens to be patient with his administration, saying he was doing everything possible to reduce the hardship being faced by people in the state.

“Borno State has been witnessing power outages, as a result of which we started witnessing water shortages, especially in the metropolis.
“I want to assure people in the state that I will do everything possible to ensure that the electricity supply is restored in the state,” he said.
