Voting closed at the University of Abuja Staff Quarters as well as Giri Primary schools as at 2:30 pm.

INEC ad hoc staff had waited for close to 15 minutes without another voter turning up before declaring the process closed.

Consequently, the presiding officers are now discussing with party agents as to the process of sorting that would lead to collation and announcement of result at the unit.

A Fulani voter, who refused to give his name, expressed delight at the new simultaneous process of accreditation and voting, which he said, has sped up the process.

"This is not like the last year’s general election. I have now voted around this time (1:20pm). But last year, before I could be accredited it was around 2pm. And then I lined up again for voting.

"I didn’t vote during Buhari election until around 7pm. Actually, I am happy with this new process," he said in delight.
