Voting cancelled in Birni Gwari over ballot mutilation

Voting was cancelled in Rema polling unit in Birnin Gwari, Kaduna state on Saturday following a disagreement among voters which led to the mutilation of all the ballot papers there. 

Voting was however peaceful in Birnin Gwari town and vote counting had commenced in some areas at 4:20pm.

In Kafanchan voting was generally peaceful and counting has commenced in some polling units in Ward B.
