Alhaji Adamu Muazu, who spoke at the PDP presidential campaign rally, said the people should vote for both President Goodluck Jonathan and the party’s governorship candidate in the state, Yusuf Agabi.
He recalled the 2014 local government elections in Nasarawa State, where he said the PDP won in many councils but that the people’s votes were manipulated.
He said the people failed to protect their votes, creating room for manipulation and for the PDP to lose out eventually in spite of recording victories in that election.
“You must vote and show your patriotism by protecting your votes, especially with what happened during the local government election when they manipulated your votes,” Muazu said.
The national chairman said the PDP is set to return to Nasarawa Government House, which it lost to the then opposition Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) in 2011, saying there were some mistakes the PDP made then that caused it the mandate.
He said the party had long resolved the issues that rocked it in 2011, and is back stronger, and set to reclaim the state.
