Village head of Radda regains freedom

Information reaching Daily Trust confirms that the kidnapped village head of Radda in Charanci Local Government Area of ​​Katsina State, Alh. Kabir Umar Radda has regained his freedom from the den of his abductors.

Recall that the village head was abducted by gunmen last week in Radda, from where he was said to have been taken to a forest in Zamfara state.

A family member, Mustapha Radda, confirmed that the village head was released on Tuesday night and “he’s currently being taken to a hospital for medical examination.

“I have received the information of his release this morning but I don’t have the details yet about how he was released. I will find out and I will contact you as soon as I get the details,” he said.

It was not clear yet whether ransom was paid for his release or it was the continued effort of the state government in collaboration with the security agencies that led to his freedom.

Alh. Radda was held hostage for four days by gunmen following his abduction on January 22 in Radda.
