Vigilantes from the Zuba zone in Gwagwalada Area Council of the FCT have raided some bandits’ hideouts bordering Niger State.
The operations commander of the vigilantes, Yahaya Madaki, who disclosed this to City & Crime yesterday, said the operation which started from the Shenago Forest on the outskirts of Zuba town was extended to other bushes around Shahaga, Gaji, Tungan-Ladan, Tungan-Malam and Anagada communities.
He said two motorcycles donated to the command recently by the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, and more than 30 others were used in the operation that saw them crossing several rivers and hills.
Madaki further said that during the operation the team came across some bandits at one of the locations, leading to a fire exchange, but that the gunmen vanished into Niger State territory.

He thanked the Agora of Zuba, Alhaji Muhammad Bello, as well as the DPO, who according to him, assisted them with logistics and money used in hiring and fueling the motorcycles used for the operation.
