Vigilantes arrest 20-year-old man for stealing foodstuff

Operatives of the Vigilante Group of Nigeria (VGN) have arrested a 20-year-old man, Mujahid Idris, who broke into two houses and stole foodstuff and other items in Mariri Gadon Arewa in Kumbotso LGA of Kano State.

The VGN Commander in Kumbotso, Sani Abdullahi Abubakar, who disclosed that the suspect had been on the run for a week, said, “We finally caught him. He broke into two houses. In one, he stole food items and metal scraps which he confessed to have sold. At the second house, he stole an android mobile phone, food items and cash.

“We succeeded in bringing his parents down here all the way from Katsina State. The owners of the items have agreed to allow him to be free but with the condition that they would never allow him to stay in Kano again.”
