Yan Sakai, the banned vigilante in Katsina State, were said to have murdered 14 Fulani in Kurfi Local Government Area of the state on Monday.
Residents told Daily Trust that those killed were suspected to be bandits terrorizing the area.

“Most of them have their hamlets around Wurma village in Kurfi local government, and they usually commit atrocities in the area,” one of the residents said.
The spokesman of the state police command, Isah Gambo, confirmed the incident.
He said eight Fulani men were slaughtered by Yan Sakai, describing the incident as “condemnable and totally unacceptable”.
“We are investigating the matter with a view to bringing the perpetrators to book.
“No sane society will condone this kind of act and that was why the Katsina State Government banned the activities of Yan Sakai in the state,” he said.
