In a separate rescue operation mission, the Kano command of the vigilante group has rescued 60 stolen cows in the state.
The Public Relations Officer of the command, Kamalu Jibril Adam Sudawa who revealed this, said the operatives of the command rescued the cows at Rogo and Rimin Gado local government areas while the suspected thieves were also arrested.
“We succeeded in rescuing 60 cows, 18 from Rogo, and arrested two suspects. 42 were rescued at Rimin Gado but the suspects ran away,” he said.
He added that the command has also succeeded in arresting many crime suspects within the metropolitan areas of the state.
“We arrested two persons in Nassarawa Local Government Area who are known for selling illicit substances and attacking innocent people and camouflaging as vigilante operatives to give other criminals backup.
“We traced our personnel numbers and discovered that they are not our staff and we have handed them over to the police for further investigation and prosecution,” Sudawa added.
The state commander, Shehu Muhammad Rabi’u, called on the general public to be mindful of their security as well as report all suspicious moves around them.
