The Chairman, Chanchaga LGA, Aminu Ladan, also confirmed the incident on his Facebook account on Sunday.

He said “I’m deeply saddened to share that the vigilante member we visited a few days ago, who was brutally attacked by some miscreants, passed away early this morning at Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital. May Allah forgive his shortcomings and grant him eternal peace.”

Ladan warned that the government would go after the hoodlums that are fond of breaching the peace in Minna, the state capital, if they fail to stop criminality.
