Vietnam-bound bizman excretes 68 wraps of cocaine

An Onitsha, Anambra State-based businessman, Ibeanusi Solomon Nosike (39), has excreted 68 wraps of cocaine after 12 days in the custody of the the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA).

City & Crime learnt that the suspect was arrested at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja, Lagos State, on Thursday, August 9, 2024, while attempting to board a flight to Abuja where he was scheduled to join a Qatar Airways flight to Vietnam.

The spokesman of NDLEA, Femi Babafemi, on Sunday in a statement, said the suspect came under NDLEA’s surveillance following intelligence that he arrived Lagos from his base in Onitsha and lodged in a hotel where he swallowed the 68 wraps of cocaine before heading to the airport.

The statement reads in part: “He was thereafter intercepted by NDLEA operatives who moved him into excretion observation where he spent the next 12 days excreting the cocaine pellets weighing 1.282kg.”
