VIDEO: WBC heavyweight champion, Tyson Fury, publicly challenges Anthony Joshua

The WBC heavyweight boxing champion, Tyson Fury, has offered British-Nigerian boxer, Anthony Joshua, a chance to fight for his belts before the end of this year.

Fury, 34, is looking for an opponent after rival Oleksandr Usyk, the WBO, WBA and IBF champion, suggested he will not return to the ring until 2023.

Joshua was beaten by the Ukrainian boxer for a second time in Saudi Arabia last month.

Although Fury said in April that he was retiring from the sport, he has made a U-turn as he has now offered fellow Briton, Joshua, the chance for a “rumble” and claim to his belts.

In a video via his verified Instagram account, while flaunting his belts, the boxing champ said, “Hey Tyson Fury here, aka the Gypsy King, the WBC heavyweight champion of the world as you can tell. I think you all know that I am going to be fighting soon within the next few months. I think that before I announce an opponent, I need to do this, just in case. Anthony Joshua, I know you just lost a fight to Oleksandr and you are bout less at the moment.

“I will like to give you an opportunity to fight with me for the WBC heavyweight champion of the world. I am the reigning champion for the next few months. You are coming off a twelve-round bout, you are fit. I am giving you a few months’ notice. If you are interested, I will send you the date.  Let me know if you are interested if not, I will slide to another opponent. Thank you very much.”
