On Sunday evening, during a town hall meeting, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, lost his cool for a few seconds over a statement made by the spokesperson of the Peoples Democratic Party Presidential Campaign Council, Dino Melaye.
During the event which was organised by Arise TV in collaboration with the Centre for Democracy and Development (CDD), there was rowdiness in the hall which made Melaye mutter that the noise was from the supporters of the LP’s candidate, Peter Obi.

The comment did not sit well with the flagbearer of the Labour Party who appeared angered by the statement and had to ask why Melaye had been picking on him all through the night.
“You see what is happening here, I would not take this. He called ‘Peter Obi’s people’. This colonel is an ANPP person, yet you call ‘Peter Obi’s people’. Stop that, I have taken a lot from you here. Why are you always calling me,” the LP flagbearer said.
