Burna who was scheduled to perform on stage at 11 pm arrived at 1:30 am, wearing a black windbreaker with a hood which he later threw off to the audience.
Many of the audience who were compelled to stay under umbrellas tangled together to make a convenient canopy, as an endless rainfall pummeled the venue. Although some of his fans had left due to the downpour, those who stayed back enjoyed the moment.
“Tobago, how are you feeling? For those of you who don’t know, they call me Oluwa Burna. How are you feeling? If you are feeling good tonight, let me hear you say yeahhhhh,” he teased.
Burna Boy is one of the most prominent artistes in Nigeria and around the world.
The singer made headlines around the world in 2021 when his album, Twice as Tall, won the Best World Music Album at the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards.
