Victims of police brutality get N19m compensation

No fewer than six victims of police brutality Friday got a total award of N19.25 million as compensation by the Lagos State Judicial Panel of Inquiry and Restitution for SARS-related abuses and other matters.

Justice Doris Okwuobi, the panel’s chairperson presented cheque of N1m to Ayomide Oyewunmi; Akinmade Akinrolabu got N1.5m; Sanusi Oluwakemi got N750,000; while Patrick Michael got a cheque of N3m.

The other beneficiaries are Adeshina Adeosun who got N10m while N3m cheque was given to Oluwatosin Odebode.
