Veterinary experts at the just concluded Annual Veterinary Leaders Summit in Abuja have appealed to the federal and state governments to create livestock ministries to strengthen the scope of veterinary activities and enhance livestock development in the country.
The acting president of the Nigeria Veterinary Medical Association (NVMA), Dr Ibrahim Shehu Ado, the director -general of the Nigeria Agricultural Quarantine Service (NAQS), Dr Vincent Isigbe and the former director of the Federal Department of Veterinary Services, Dr Gideon M. Mshelbwala, spoke on the many challenges confronting veterinary profession in Nigeria.
