Veteran actor, Dejumo Lewis, dies at 80

The Nigerian movie industry has been thrown into mourning following the death of a veteran actor, Dejumo Lewis, aged 80.

In a message via his verified Instagram account, iconic actor and filmmaker Saidi Balogun made the sad news. Sharing a picture of the late veteran Balogun wrote, ““Good night DEJUMO LEWIS, may your soul rest in perfect peace. RIP.”

The late actor was a film and television actor, famous for the Kabiyesi role in The Village Headmaster, Nigeria’s longest-running television soap opera shown on NTA from 1968 to 1988 that starred Justus Esiri and Femi Robinson.
