The Kaduna State University (KASU) will today confer an Honorary Doctorate Degree in Management on former governor of the state, Senator Ahmed Mohammed Makarfi.
A statement from Makarfi media adviser, Mukhtar Sirajo said the decision to honour Makarfi with the award, as conveyed by the Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Mohammed Tanko, was in recognition of the Senator’s numerous contributions to nation building across time.
He said, some of the contributions, according to the Vice Chancellor, apart from establishing the university included the political and administrative dexterity with which the Makarfi handled issues as governor of the state from 1999 to 2007, during which time the state witnessed massive infrastructural development.
