Orji Uzor Kalu Foundation, in collaboration with Venezuelan Embassy in Abuja, has announced an opening for the 2021 Scholarship program for undergraduates who have passion and the ability to study medicine and surgery.
The Executive Secretary of Orji Uzor Kalu Foundation, Rev (Mrs) Jemima Ola Kalu, said the foundation had strictly chosen the top-ranking and prestigious university in Venezuela called Latinoamerican Medicine School – Escuela Latinoamericana de Medicina (ELAM) for the selected students.
While disclosing that the length of study is six years, she said the Foundation would provide full financial support which includes tuition, accommodation, feeding and monthly stipends to the selected students.
Applicants are expected to be citizens of Nigeria and have good grades in the West African Examination Council (WAEC) or National Examinations Council (NECO). ‘A’ grades in Biology, Physics and Chemistry is added advantage.
Also, the applicant should be aged between 18 and 23 years old and have single status in addition to being medically fit.
According to Rev Kalu, interested applicants are to submit a photocopy of their WAEC or NECO results with a
self-introduction letter of a maximum of 200 words between July 30th, 2021 and August 15th, 2021.
