Selected contracts
UYK had successfully executed many contracts for federal and state governments as well as for private companies.
It supplied the Federal Fire Service Abuja, many fire-fighting trucks (pumpers), did gully erosion control works for the Ecological Fund Office, Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation at Ladanai Community Nassarawa LGA, Kano.
It supplied and installed medical equipment for Nasarawa State University, Keffi; constructed and furnished the University of Abuja’s Faculty of Education.
UYK also constructed and furnished Rivers State University’s Faculty of Arts & Humanities; it executed a TETFund project at the Sule Lamido University, Kafin Hausa’s Computing & Information Technology department.
It equally constructed the Faculty of Management Sciences at Usman Danfodiyo University, Sokoto, just as it built and furnished the Kano State Polytechnic’s Academic Building Lecture Hall & Skill Acquisition Center.
For the Federal Capital Territory Administration, Abuja, UYK constructed and equipped a Material Testing Laboratory and for the Federal Ministry of Education, it constructed and furnished the female hostel block at Federal University Gusau, Zamfara State.
The company also constructed and furnished the Enugu State Polytechnic’s Academic block for the school of Agriculture Technology.
About Usman Yahaya Kansila
Born fifty-three years ago, specifically on October 13, 1968, Alhaji Usman Yahaya Kansila, has imprinted his name in gold. He is an established industrialist, construction magnate and philanthropist.
After his primary and secondary education at Mayanka Primary School and Government Commercial Secondary School both in Kano, Alhaji Usman attended the Kano Polytechnic for his tertiary education. He bagged both an Ordinary National Diploma & Higher National Diploma in Accountancy.
After eight years in the Kano State Civil Service at the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, UYK, as he is fondly called went into private business. He established UYK Nigeria Limited in 1996, as an engineering and trading company.
