Senator Jeremiah T. Useni has clinched the People’s Democratic Party gubernatorial ticket in Plateau State, defeating 12 other contenders with a total of 1018 votes.
The closest to Useni’s score is Johnbull Shekarau who got 340 votes, followed by Sen. Victor Lar with 249 votes.
George Daika scored 199 votes, Nicholas Kemi Nshe scored 177 votes while Ponyah Ibrahim scored 62 and Godfrey Bawa scored 35.
Others include Engineer Jimmy Cheto who got seven votes, Architect Samuel Jatau with five votes and Yilman Maimako who got four votes.
Sam Abashed had three votes and Nandom Ishaku Pyennap with one vote. Brig. Gen. Musa Gambo (Rtd.) had no vote.
The PDP electoral hairman, Ibrahim Umar, who announced the results also stated that 33 invalid votes were recorded.
The total number of delegates for the election from across the 17 Local Government Area was put at 2,097.
