The Federal Government Sunday asked the youth to use its empowerment scheme to employ themselves.
The Minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige, according to a statement by the ministry’s spokesman, Charles Akpan, said this at the weekend in Akwa, Anambra State, during the ministry’s empowerment scheme for 3,000 youths.

“The era where beneficiaries leave the venue, only to sell these items is gone. Go and use them to practise the skills you have been taught, employ yourselves and others.
“Where you have an existing business, use them for expansion and lift more people out of poverty”, the minister said.
He warned: “We have a monitoring team and we will involve the security agencies over any case of diversion of the machines”.
