Parents in Kaduna State have been advised to use the period of COVID-19 lockdown to create family bond and pick interest in what their wards are doing
The Federation of Muslim Women Association of Nigeria (FOMWAN) gave the advice during the distribution of palliatives to 50 residents of Babbar Sauran community in Chikun Local Government Area of the state.
The Ameera, FOMWAN, Kaduna chapter, Aisha Isyaku Tukur, said members of families must be patient with one another especially during this period where all members are at home.
“Make use of the COVID-19 lockdown period to know your children because this is a time that parents will actually be able to train their children very well because they are around.”
She said the distribution of the items was part of activities to mark the association’s humanitarian day.
“Since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic, the association has been moving from one community to the other to distribute palliatives aimed at reducing the suffering of the vulnerable people in society.
She called on individuals and organisations to partner with FOMWAN to make the needed impact in the society.
