Deputy Governor of Kaduna State, Dr Hadiza Balarabe, has said that the government has developed its Infrastructure Master plan in order to close the existing gap.
The Deputy Governor who disclosed this when she received executives of the China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation (CCECC) Nigeria Limited, tasked the construction company to deliver all projects on time and according to specified standards.
Dr. Balarabe told them that the projects which they are handling ‘’are like our signature and legacy projects and we want to ensure that you have all the support. So, we want you to put in your best to deliver up to the quality that the state wants to achieve.’’
According to her, “we have an Infrastructure Master Plan which we developed and part of the projects that you are doing now are from that Master Plan. We want to change the face of Kaduna.’’
The Executive Director of CCECCC, Central Regional Office, Leo Liu, said that they visited the Deputy Governor to update her on the progress of their projects, disclosing that 40% progress has been achieved in the road component of the urban renewal projects.
Leo said out of the 18 roads being constructed, 12 will be completed by the end of 2020 and the physical structure of the Galaxy Shopping Mall will be completed by November to allow for interior decoration.
The Executive Director further said that Kajuru Modern Market is at 80% completion and that it will be ready by September 2020.
He assured that CCECC will complete all the projects by July 2021, adding that the projects include 18 roads, two major bridges and an underpass as well as the Kajuru Model Market and Galaxy Shopping Mall.
