The protesting workers of the National Assembly have booed Senate President Bukola Saraki and Speaker Yakubu Dogara when both came to address them.
The Senate President and the Speaker alongside other principal officers of both chambers had appeared at the lobby at about 1:40.pm to address the protesters on their grievances.
However, soon after Saraki began his address through a public address system, the workers started booing him and other members of his entourage.
Saraki had said that the workers should give the National Assembly leadership up to Friday to meet with the management to iron out the issues, but the workers interrupted him, saying “no, no, no.”
When Saraki tried to continue with his address, they shouted “no alert, no sitting” in unison.
But Saraki still managed to make a commitment to the workers that they were on the same page on the issues raised and that a lasting solution would be arrived at soon.
