Upcoming ‘Sarauniya’ said to have ‘one of the biggest budgets’

Fans of Kannywood are on the edge of their seats in anticipation of the release of a new blockbuster movie titled ‘Sarauniya’.

According to our correspondent in Kano,the movie caught imaginations right from auditioning when an upcoming actress, Asabe Madaki, won the lead role ahead of established stars in the industry.

She will be complimented by household male actors in Kannywood, our correspondent reports.

According to the producer of the film and Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of Rite Time Multimedia Limited and former Secretary General of Arewa Film Makers Association of Nigeria, Alhaji Sani Sule Katsina, the film was written by Ibrahim Birniwa.

Not much is known about the plot except that the film, believed to have one of the biggest budgets in Kannywood, centres around a powerful African queen.

However,  the producer said that the cost of the movie isn’t what matters but producing a quality movie that can compete with any other movie globally. 

The film is shot in locations in Kano, Katsina and other places.
