A second pilot who died in a plane crash involving a NAF jet in Kaduna has been identified as Flight Lieutenant Haruna Elijah Karatu.
Karatu died during the crash together with his colleague, Abubakar Alkali, reportedly from Yobe State.

It was learnt that Karatu attended Federal Government College, Sokoto and Christ Ambassadors College, Kaduna before joining the Nigeria Defence Academy, Kaduna.

The two officers were also amongst the Nigerian Airforce officers who returned from Pakistan in April 2021 following six-month training in the Asian country.
