The management of the University of Ilorin has concluded arrangements to build four new 1,500-capacity ultra modern lecture theatres to complement existing ones.
The Director, Physical Planning Unit (PPU), University of Ilorin, Dr. Bashir Olajide Adams, who disclosed this during a monitored radio programme, hinted that plans were at advanced stage to construct a Radio and Television House to be called Communication House on the campus.
Adams said that the idea behind the construction of the four new lecture theatres was to take care of the rising population of students.
He added that the University would soon commence the construction of additional 42-room toilets to provide convenience for the students, adding that the ongoing extension of the University Library was part of the University’s frantic efforts to be responsive to the growing number of the students.
