Universal Insurance promises prompt claims payment, quality services

The Managing Director/ CEO, Universal Insurance Plc, Dr. Benedict Ujoatuonu, has promised prompt claims payment and improved service delivery.

He stated this when he won the ‘Insurance Personality Leadership Excellence Prize of the Year 2022’ award at the 2022 edition of the African Prize for Leadership Excellence Award.

Receiving the prize, Dr. Ujoatonu expressed his excitement about being chosen for the esteemed prize and thanked the organisers for the honour they had done to him.

He attributed the award to the success that has been achieved in the company during his tenure.

According to him, “before we came in, the Universal Insurance brand was struggling in the market but today the Company is a brand everybody wants to touch, including the public, the Brokers and contemporaries in the insurance market. This can be seen in our results. Our stakeholders, policyholders, and staff are happy because we are meeting the aspirations of everyone.”
