UNILORIN to establish CBT hall for PWD students

The University of Ilorin has said that it will establish a special hall and facilities for Post-UTME and other Computer-Based Tests (CBT) for physically challenged students.

The Director of the CBT, Prof. Kamilu Rauf, disclosed this while fielding questions on a popular Yoruba Programme on UNILORIN FM, “Oro to n lo”.

Rauf described the recent four-day post-UTME screening as “seamless, hitch-free and highly successful.”

According to him, the decision to hold the test only on UNILORIN campus was due to security concerns in the country, familiarity with the terrain and access to trusted facilities.

He explained that the development highlighted UNILORIN’s commitment to inclusivity and accessibility in its examination processes.

The university, he noted, had always been a pacesetter and started CBT exams in Nigeria before it was adopted by JAMB and other institutions.

He said that prospective international students were exempted from taking the CBT tests because they had their various internal and national tests in their various countries.
